FREECareer Change Resume
A hybrid resume for people moving into a new field, opening with a targeted summary and grouped transferable skills, then a chronological history with bullets rewritten around the target role.
FREEOne-page A4 preview. Calibri typography and a skills-first, one-column layout.
A skills-based resume with three or four competency sections, each holding bullets drawn from any point in your history, followed by a brief dated employment list.
The sample is someone returning to work after several years, consolidating freelance and volunteer experience. Replace it with your own.
Choose headings the target role uses (for example 'Client management', 'Operations', 'Training'), and put three to five outcome bullets under each. Keep the employment list honest with months and years. A summary at the top names the role you're after. If some recent experience is relevant, the hybrid Career Change Resume is easier for recruiters to read; if all of it is, use a chronological layout. Service-sector transitions can borrow from the Customer Service Resume.
Parsers look for title-and-date blocks, so the employment list must exist even if short; the ATS-friendly guide explains. Pair it with a cover letter that gives context using the cover letter guide. Other versions are under functional resume templates.
