FREENew Grad Nurse 2-Column Resume
The two-column version of the new grad nurse resume: licence, certifications and clinical skills in a sidebar, rotations and practicum in the wider column.
FREEA one-column resume for newly licensed nurses applying to residency programs and first RN positions, built so clinical rotations and a capstone preceptorship fill the page.
The sample is a BSN graduate with NCLEX passed, a senior practicum in med-surg and CNA experience. Replace it with your own.
Licence status (or NCLEX date), your practicum unit and hours, and evidence you can handle a patient load. Write the practicum as a full entry with skills performed and the preceptor's unit. List other rotations briefly. Any CNA, tech or volunteer patient-care work counts. If you'd prefer a sidebar for certifications and skills, the two-column version of this template has the same content in that layout. Students still in the program should use the Nursing Student Resume.
Once you have a unit and a year of experience, the Nurse Resume layout moves rotations down and experience up. New grad postings are heavily parsed, so keep certifications as text and run the ATS-friendly checklist before uploading. Other first-job layouts are under entry-level resume templates.
