FREEChronological Resume
The standard format: a short summary, then work history from your current role backwards, then education and skills.
FREECanadian resume format template preview.
A resume laid out the way Canadian employers expect: no photo, age or marital status, a summary and skills section, reverse-chronological experience, and Canadian spelling and formats.
The sample is an administrative professional applying in Ontario. Replace it with your own.
Close to US practice but with a few habits: two pages is normal even at mid-career, a 'Professional Summary' and 'Key Skills' block at the top is standard, no personal details beyond contact information, and Canadian English spelling. Newcomers should list credential recognition and language test results if relevant. For US applications, the Chronological Resume is the equivalent; for academic positions, the Academic CV. Two-page mechanics are covered in the two-page resume templates.
Single-column, plain, Letter size. Canadian employers use the same applicant tracking systems as US ones, so follow the ATS-friendly guide. Other country and format layouts are under resume formats and styles and the CV templates page.
