What Java hiring managers scan for

Java roles are usually specific about the ecosystem: Spring Boot or Jakarta EE, Maven or Gradle, Kafka or RabbitMQ, JUnit and Mockito. Name what you've used and group it by purpose. In the bullets, show the systems: services migrated, throughput handled, incidents reduced, releases automated. Enterprise readers also want to see delivery practice, so mention CI/CD, code review and testing where they're real. Backend engineers in other languages use the same structure in the Backend Developer Resume and Python Developer Resume.

Senior Java roles

After eight or so years, architecture and leadership take over from feature work. The Senior Software Engineer Resume shows how to write up design ownership, and the Solutions Architect Resume is the reference for enterprise architecture roles. Most Java positions are filed through corporate portals, so keep the format single-column; the professional resume templates are the conservative alternative if the employer is a bank or insurer.
