Free Cloud Engineer Resume Template

A resume for engineers who build and operate cloud infrastructure. The skills block is grouped by platform, IaC, containers, networking and observability; the bullets are about migrations, reliability and cost.

The sample is a cloud engineer on AWS with Terraform, EKS and a large lift-and-shift migration behind them. Replace it with your own platform and projects.

Migrations, cost and reliability

Cloud work is judged on three things: did the migration land, is the platform reliable, and what does it cost. Write bullets with those numbers: workloads migrated, downtime during cutover, availability achieved, monthly spend reduced through right-sizing or reserved capacity. Infrastructure as code and automation deserve their own bullets. Certifications are a hard filter in cloud hiring, so list them with dates near the top. If delivery pipelines are the bigger part of your role, the DevOps Engineer Resume puts them first; for design-level cloud roles, the Solutions Architect Resume is the reference. On-premises infrastructure experience is written up in the System Admin Resume and Network Engineer Resume.

Format for platform teams

Single-column, one page under six years, two after. Cloud engineers with data platform work may also look at the Data Engineer Resume for how storage and pipeline scale is expressed.
