Free Network Engineer Resume Template

A resume for engineers who design and run networks. The skills block is grouped by routing and switching, security, wireless, cloud networking and monitoring, and the bullets show availability, capacity and delivered projects.

The sample is a network engineer supporting a multi-site enterprise WAN with Cisco and Palo Alto equipment. Replace it with your own environment.

Showing the network, not the job description

State the scale: sites, users, throughput, devices managed. Then the projects: a WAN refresh, an SD-WAN rollout, a firewall migration, a wireless redesign, each with a result such as availability, latency or cost. Certifications (CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, PCNSE) are decisive in this field and deserve a dated section near the top. If security is a large part of the role, the Cybersecurity Analyst Resume shows how to present it; for cloud networking in AWS or Azure, the Cloud Engineer Resume is the adjacent layout. Server-side work is covered by the System Admin Resume.

Keeping it parser-friendly

Network roles use a lot of acronyms and model numbers, which parse fine as plain text but not inside tables or graphics. Keep the skills block as simple grouped lines. The ATS-friendly resume guide explains what to avoid. For a broader IT layout that covers mixed responsibilities, see the IT Resume.
