Quantifying security work

Mean time to detect and respond, alerts triaged, false-positive rate reduced, vulnerabilities remediated within SLA, audits passed: these are the figures security managers expect. Describe incidents at the level of type and outcome, never with details that identify an employer's weaknesses. Name the platforms (Splunk, Sentinel, CrowdStrike, Qualys) and the frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK). Certifications (Security+, CySA+, CISSP, CEH) go in a dated section near the top. Adjacent roles: the Network Engineer Resume for network security, the System Admin Resume for hardening and identity, and the DevOps Engineer Resume for security in delivery pipelines.

Clearances and format

If you hold a clearance, state it in the header. Government and defence applications may need the longer Federal Resume format. Otherwise keep the layout single-column and conservative; security teams use applicant tracking software as much as any department, and the ATS resume templates are the base for this design.
